Admission and classification method of the aged in the center:
The aged admission: since this center aims to care and support the unattended old women, 80% of its capacity is devoted them and only 20% is for those introduced by families.
The first group: unattended aged:
By unattended aged we mean the aged who have no first grade family. There are many of them in this center. Those who never have had children and become alone after death of their spouses, or never have married, or those who have lost their family due to natural disasters like earthquake, flood, famine, war, migration, accident, and etc. this group, esp. those with unsuitable economical condition, are collected by police, municipality, and Social Welfare Organization from parks, streets, and shrines and transferred to this center.
After introduction they are kept in quarantine for 48 hours. If they have no infectious disease, they will be admitted in related section and room.
The second group includes those who have an acceptable economical condition but live alone due to some reasons and severely need mental and physical support. They are introduced by their friends or relatives.
The third group includes those aged who have a family with very bad economical condition. It is noteworthy that they are faced with addiction problem too and bring their aged to this center. After studying the family condition, we will admit them if we realize that they are really in bad condition.
The fourth group includes those who have a family with good economical condition but are unable to keep and care them at home. Of course create some family arguments due to the presence of aged. Therefore, 20% of our capacity is devoted to this group and prevent those disagreements which may result in divorce.
