150 old women are kept round-the-clock in comprehensive center of Madar sanatorium. The available conditions and facilities should be suitable and adequate for their life primary needs, especially medical and first aids. The available facilities are as follow:
Medical facilities and medicine instruments including: ambulance, ECG, oxygen capsule, suction, reduction test, blood pressure system, gluco-meter, audiometer system of Screening TEOAE and Screening AABR, oven, suture set, dressing set, microset, airway, Ambo bag, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, stretcher, examination bed, folding screen, medical scales, emergency injection drugs, compress therapy device, otoscope, ear washing device, special chair, curb-ramp set, small closet for drugs (for storage of medications specifically used for the elderly).
Medical personnel including: full-time general practitioner, full-time nurse, full-time assistant nurse, full-time psychologist, on-call specialist doctors
Physical therapy equipments, including static air mattress, Paradel bed, physical therapy table, Baller balls, playing dough, TNS device, galvanic stimulator system, ultrasonic device, manual massage, parallel bars and mirror, fixed bike, comprehensive exercise equipment.
Accessory equipments, including folding bed, wheelchair, personal locker, walker, stick, foreign-style toilet, prosthetic denture, bone and muscle maintaining devices (neck, shoulder, back, …)
Other equipments, including emergency power system, steel and porcelain utensils, refrigerator and freezer, gas oven, fire extinguisher system, appropriate heating and air conditioning system, audiovisual system, telephone line, dining table and chairs, furniture, a 25-kg washing machine, a dryer machine, and a wringer machine, an autoclave device.
Suitable environment for different occasions such as Holy Imams’ birth and death, mourning for Imam Hossein in Moharram and Safar months, nights of vigil and prayer during the month of Ramadan, prayers and pilgrimage ceremonies, Mother’s Day, Nurse’s Day, The Aged Day, Family Day, sizdeh-bedar (the 13th day of Farvardin), Worker’s Day, Charity Day, the ten days of Fajr, the Festival of Sacrifice, the Feast of Ghadir, and the feast marking the end of Ramadan, Yalda night (Azar 30th), the last Wednesday of year, Nowruz Feast, and etc.
Recreational camps including: the pilgrimage of Imam Reza’s shrine, the pilgrimage of the city shrines, different gardens and villages in suitable seasons.
The internal environment of sanatorium is a rather big saloon all around of which couches covered with carpets and cushions, and some chairs for the aged to rest upon in afternoons, visit each other, pray, talk, watch TV, and etc.
Serving meals and fruits including: various and nutritious meals according to the aged conditions; food complementary; middle meal and fruits in certain times.
In addition to above facilities a green space with an area of 6000m2 has been beautifully and safely designed for them.
